Maria is a New York, and New Jersey State Licensed, ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist. Maria graduated from St. John's University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology; and went on to receive a Masters of Science Degree in speech Language Pathology from New York Medical College. Maria has worked with all populations in a variety of settings including; hospitals, clinics, private practices, daycares, schools, and home-based. Currently, she dedicates her time working with the pediatric population. Maria has experience working with a variety of diagnoses including; Apraxia of Speech, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, Articulation and Phonological Disorders, and Feeding and Oral Motor Disorders. Maria is level two PROMPT trained, and uses specialized treatment approaches to address oral motor and feeding skills. She strives to make realistic goals for her clients, and is a team player. She provides families with strategies to use within their natural environment to encourage carry-over; and collaborates with other professionals working with the child to achieve common goals.
Jennifer is a New York, and New Jersey State Licensed, ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist. She has been evaluating and treating children with a variety of diagnoses, and speech delays/disorders for over 15 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology form St. John's University, and went on to earn her Masters degree in Speech Pathology from Seton Hall University. She has an extensive understanding of language development, as her work has focused primarily on the pediatric population. She has worked with infants and toddlers in the Early Intervention program, 3-5 year olds in pre-school settings, and school-age children in the public school system. She is PROMPT trained, and ABA certified. Her therapy addresses Feeding an Oral Motor Deficits, Receptive and Expressive Language Delays, Apraxia of Speech, Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Reading and Auditory Comprehension delays, as well as building Pre-Reading Skills. She encourages families to have an active role in their child's therapy and carryover, and takes a team approach in helping children become effective communicators.
